Hall of Famer Jim Thome was one of the new crop of youngsters that completely reinvigorated the Cleveland Indians franchise in the early 1990’s. After decades of futility, the Indians opened a new stadium and a completely re-vamped team to go with it. With Thome as their first baseman, Cleveland won their first pennant in a generation in 1995, and Thome established himself as one of the AL’s brightest new stars. This offered 1993-1995 era Cooper RD-45 model bat exhibits heavy use with a crack in the upper handle and was used by Thome during these years. The barrel has a tremendous amount of ball marks and stitch impressions along with scuffs and abrasions from contact with other bats and equipment. The knob has “Rod,” STFB,” and “HTFB” hand written in black marker. A Thome gamer that looks every inch like it is direct from the hands of a young slugger trying to make a name for himself. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B15734) for the game use.
