Florida Marlins star Jeff Conine wore these black Nike cleats on April 5th, 1993, during the Marlins first ever game. Conine, who started the game against the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers in left field but moved to first base in the eighth inning, went 4-4 in this 6-3 Marlins victory with two runs scored. Conine also recorded the first stolen base in Marlins history during the eighth inning, swiping third against Dodgers reliever Ricky Trlicek. Conine, playing in his rookie season at the age of 27, finished third in the National League Rookie of the Year race after hitting .292 with 12 homers and 79 RBI. Conine played eight non-consecutive seasons with the Marlins, serving as a key piece of their 1997 World Series winning team.

These cleats are size 12 Nike Air low-top cleats, with white Nike swoosh logos applied to each side of the cleats. Six metal cleats are present on the sole of each shoe. “NIKE AIR” and a swoosh are embroidered in white on each tongue flap. “NIKE AIR” is printed on each heel in white text, and Conine’s number “19” is written on each heel in black marker. Conine has signed each cleat in gold marker, inscribing “1st Stolen Base” on the left shoe and “Opening Day 4/5/93” on the right shoe. These game used and signed cleats come with a LOA from JT Sports for the game use and individual COAs from JSA for the signatures.
