In 1994, Mariano Rivera and Derek Jeter both played for the AA Albany-Colonie Yankees. While Jeter was a highly-regarded prospect, Rivera was much more of a mystery, signing with the Yankees for only a $2,500 bonus. Both players surpassed their expectations by leaps and bounds, with Rivera finishing his career as the all-time leader in saves and Jeter as the Yankees all-time hits leader.
This Albany-Colonie Yankees Fotoball has been signed by 18 members of the 1994 team, including Rivera, Jeter, Lyle Mouton, Andy Fox, Billy Evers, Lewellyn Hill, Andy Croghan (twice), Jason Robertson, Carlton Fleming, Brian Faw, Bubba Carpenter, and several more. The signatures have been written in blue and black pen. This item comes with a LOA from JSA (Z24124).
