Jim Leyland was presented with this game Official National League William D. White baseball after he earned his 700th career managerial win in a victory over the New York Mets on June 24th, 1994. His Pittsburgh Pirates defeated Dwight Gooden and the New York Mets by a score of 9-4. Dave Clark paced the Pirates offense, clubbing two home runs and driving in four runs.
“700th Career Win June 24, 1994 vs New York Mets” is inscribed in black pen to the right of White’s stamped signature. Leyland signed this baseball below the inscription in blue pen. Please note that there are pen marks to the left of the White stamped signature. This baseball shows good signs of game use and comes with a COA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (B54379).
