The Hall of Fame centerfielder Ken Griffey Jr. wore this Seattle Mariners batting helmet during the abbreviated 1994 MLB season. Griffey started the season hot, blasting 30 home runs in the Mariners first 65 games of the season. In 111 games in 1994, Griffey hit an American League-best 40 home runs, with 90 RBI and a .323 batting average. Griffey was an All-Star, a Gold Glove recipient, and a Silver Slugger honoree in 1994, finishing second in the American League MVP race to his fellow Hall of Famer Frank Thomas.

This offered batting helmet is all navy, with a Mariners logo decal applied to the forehead. Please note that the lower left of the Mariner’s logo is slightly loose, but remains mostly adhered. Griffey’s number “24”, an MLB logo, and an American Bat Company logo are applied to the rear of the helmet. Please note that the interior rear padding of this helmet is no longer attached to the helmet. The date dial in the helmet provides the manufacturing date of December 1993. A secretarial signature of Griffey has been signed on the crown to the left of the Mariner’s logo in silver marker. This item shows moderate use and comes with a LOA from JT Sports for the game use.
