The 1995-96 Chicago Bulls – under head coach Phil Jackson – recorded a historic 72-10 record during the regular season. Michael Jordan averaged 30.4 points per game and Scottie Pippen added 19.4 PPG, while Dennis Rodman pulled down 14.9 rebounds per contest. Chicago reached the NBA Finals after going a combined 11-1 against its first three playoff opponents, then defeated the Seattle SuperSonics, four games to two, to win the championship. In that series, Jordan scored 27.3 points per game to win the Finals Most Valuable Player. Center James Edwards closed out his 22-season career with the Bulls during the 1995-96 season and won his third NBA title, appearing in 28 games in the regular season and in six games of the playoffs.
Offered here is the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls championship ring presented to James Edwards. This 14K gold ring has a large black stone on the top with four large diamonds that serve as the tops of the Larry O’Brien Championship trophies that are centered. 72 diamonds surround the outside, which was to commemorate the historic 72 wins. The 72 diamonds are comprised of 25 stones in pairs of two on each side with 11 stones running singularly and horizontally across the top and bottom. The left shank has “WORLD CHAMPIONS” on the top in raised relief with a full-color NBA logo in the middle and the Chicago skyline behind. “72 WINS” are bisected by the NBA logo and “GREATEST TEAM EVER” is in raised relief below. The opposite shank has “EDWARDS”, “BULLS”, the Bulls logo in red, gold and white, “96 96” and his number “53” in raised relief. On the inner band is the Jostens’ “J” logo, “©” and “14K” that have been engraved. The ring is weighs approximately 44.13 grams, is a size 11 ½ and is in excellent condition. A true keepsake from what is widely considered one of the greatest NBA teams of all-time.
