After 13 seasons as a Saint linebacker, Rickey Jackson spent the final two seasons of his career as defensive end of the 49ers. The six-time Pro-Bowler was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2010. This Wilson red-with-white-lettering jersey is tapered mesh and elastic. It has white tackle-twill “57” stitched on the back and front, and on each sleeve. White stripes are appliqué around the shoulders. An embroidered red-gold/black-white Wilson shield is stitched to both shoulders, adjacent to the “57.” The white, woven Wilson tag is stitched to the left hip. Sewn to its right is the size tag “50,” and to the left is a white, woven season tag embroidered with red “95.” The collar vertex bears an embroidered NFL shield superscripted with silver “EQUIPMENT.” A red, embroidered “NY” sits between the front “27” and the NFL shield. The material (100% polyester) and care instructions tag is stitched to the left-side inner seam. Evidence of heavy game use can be found with noticeable sun fading on the yoke, loose stitching on both the front and rear “5.” Several small holes can be found on the right shoulder and right chest. White stripes on both shoulders are worn and cracking. Various stains are evident on the white numbering. An LOA from game-worn jersey expert, Dave Miedema, accompanies this item.
