Legendary shooting guard Kobe Bryant wore this single Adidas shoe during his rookie season. Drafted 13th overall in the 1996 NBA Draft by the Charlotte Hornets out of Lower Merion High School, Bryant was traded on draft night to the Lakers. The rookie impressed immediately, coming off the bench to contribute an efficient 7.9 points per game for the 56-26 Lakers. It did not take long for Bryant to become the toast of the NBA, making an All-Star team in his sophomore season and winning the first of his five NBA titles at the end of the 1999-2000 season. Bryant retired after the 2015-16 NBA season with 18 All-Star appearances, the 2007-08 NBA MVP Award, and two Finals MVP Awards. He is a shoo-in for induction into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2021.

This Adidas size 14 right shoe is primarily black and white, with white laces and a silver Adidas logo embroidered on the outside toe. Bryant has signed the toe of the shoe in bold black marker. In addition to his signature, Bryant wrote his number “8” next to his signature. Both of the numbers Bryant wore during his Lakers career, “8” and “24”, were retired by the Lakers during a 2017 ceremony. This shoe comes with a LOA from JSA (Y26414) for the signature and a LOA from D.C. Sports for the game use.
