At various times, the 1996 Columbus Clippers squad featured key members of the late-1990s Yankees dynasty such as Mariano Duncan, Pat Kelly, Jorge Posada, Tim Raines, Shane Spencer, Darryl Strawberry and Ramiro Mendoza. Just as the Jeter-led Bronx Bombers tasted World Series glory that year for the first time since 1978, so too did the Yankees AAA farm team the Columbus Clippers, who brought home the International League's prestigious Governors' Cup.
Presented here is a 1996 Columbus Clippers International League Champions 10K gold ring. This ring has a large blue stone in the center with the interlocking “NY” in raised gold. Surrounding the square-bordered stone are sets of three cz stones, set in gold holders – 12 total. One shank has the Yankees top hat on bat logo, along with “PRIDE” and “1996”, all in raised relief, while the opposite shank has the Clippers logo in color, along with “INTERNATIONAL LEAUGE CHAMPIONS” and “20TH ANNIVERSARY”. A “10K” stamp is on the inside band and this ring is a size 9 weighing approximately 25.68 grams. The ring is in good condition.
