All-Star centerfielder Torii Hunter wore this pinstriped Hardware City Rock Cats home jersey during the 1996 MiLB season. Hunter, a first-round pick of the Minnesota Twins in 1993, split the 1996 season between AA Hardware City (New Britain, CT) and A+ Fort Myers. In 99 games with the Rock Cats, Hunter hit .263 with seven homers, 33 RBI, and 49 runs scored. Hunter made his MLB debut in 1997 and would play 19 seasons in the Majors, finishing his career with 353 homers, five All-Star appearances, and nine Gold Glove awards.

This button-down Hardware City home jersey has “ROCK CATS” sewn across the chest in red, black, and gray tackle twill. Hunter’s number “18” is sewn on the chest and back in black and gray tackle twill. Hunter first wore “15” in 1996 and later changed to “18” during the season. A Rawlings tag with an attached size “46” flag is sewn on the front left tail, while a Rawlings size “46” flag is sewn on the back inside collar. Hunter has signed the chest of this jersey in blue marker, inscribing his Twins number of “48” in addition to his signature. This jersey shows moderate wear and comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema. A COA from Beckett Authentication Services covers Hunter’s signature (G38036). Please note that a stray black pen mark is present on the front left tail.
