JULY 19TH AUCTION
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 7/20/2013
Great game used bat from Martinez’s finest seasons with New York. The slugging first baseman won the 1997 All-Star Home Run Derby and the finished second in the league in RBI and home runs. The next season he helped lead the Yankees to the World Series and his exciting grand-slam in Game One gave the team the momentum they needed to win the Series. Martinez’s Louisville Slugger model B349 shows very light game use with a small amount of pine tar evident on the handle. Martinez has signed the barrel of the bat and added his number “24” in black marker. Two PSA/DNA stickers (numbers T54848 and 1B05357) are affixed to the barrel and knob. Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
