Former NBA star Rick Fox enjoyed a stellar 13-season career playing for the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers. The Canadian-born forward out of the University of North Carolina, won three titles with the Lakers from 2000-2002 and retired following the 2004 season.
Offered here is a purple mesh road Lakers jersey issued to Fox during the 1997-98 season, his first with the Lakers after spending the first six seasons of his career with the Boston Celtics. It is possible this jersey is one of the first jerseys the Lakers issued to Rick Fox as they misspelled his name "Foxx". This jersey features “LAKERS” sewn on in yellow tackle twill and “17” sewn on the front and back in white and yellow tackle twill. The NBA logo is on the upper left chest and the Nike size 44 tag with the “LENGTH+4” flag and adjacent NBA Authentics and Lakers’ logo tags are sewn on the bottom front left tail. The back of the jersey has “FOXX” sewn on in yellow and white tackle twill above his number. The open sleeves and collar have white/yellow/white border stripes and Fox has signed this jersey in blue marker vertically on the “1” on the back, inscribing “3X NBA CHAMP”. This jersey comes with a LOA from Rick Fox.
