After four seasons with the California Angels in the mid-1990’s, former slugger Chili Davis was traded to the Kansas City Royals prior to the 1997 season. Davis put up solid numbers in his only season with the Royals where he batted .279 with 30 home runs and 90 RBI – all at the age of 37. Davis used this Rawlings. CD44 model bat during the 1997 season. This bat displays outstanding game use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks, blue ink transfers and white leather scuffs present on the barrel. The knob has “CD44” stamped, along with the order number “009” and year “97”. Davis has signed this bat on the lower barrel in silver marker and inscribed “44”. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B25735) for the game use and has been given the highest possible grade of GU 10, plus an LOA from Beckett Authentication (AA13883) for the signature.
