Prolific and flamboyant Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman joined the Chicago Bulls in 1995 and quickly made an impact and helped lead the Bulls, along with Hall of Famers Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan, to their fourth NBA title in 1996. The 1996-97 season saw Rodman continue to make an impact under the net while playing forward, winning the NBA rebounding award for the sixth year in a row while aiding the Bulls to a record of 69-13. Rodman would continue his dominance under the net during the 1997 NBA Playoffs and wore these presented size 14 Converse All-Star sneakers during the Bulls' 109-104 victory over the Washington Bullets during Game 2 of the First Round of the NBA Playoffs held at the United Center in Chicago on April 27, 1997. Rodman recorded 4 points, pulled down 8 rebounds, and had 2 assists during the victory. The Bulls would go on to defeat the Utah Jazz for their second consecutive NBA title.

These presented Converse All-Star sneakers feature a red, black, and white colorway. "CONVERSE CHUCK TAYLOR ALL STAR" logos with a red plastic star are located on the inside and outside upper of each sneaker. "ALL STAR WORN" is embroidered in red with a red plastic star in the middle and appears on the tongue of each sneaker. A tribal pattern with the number "91" appears encased in plastic on the back heel of each sneaker. "CONVERSE CHUCK TAYLOR ALL STAR" appears in encased plastic on the sole of the heel on each sneaker. Rodman signed and inscribed "91" with a black marker on the inside upper of the left sneaker with a black marker. The signature is bold. The sneakers display heavy evidence of game use and contain wear on the soles, toe boxes, and mudguards. There are black stains on the back heel of the right sneaker, multiple stains on the mudguards, and wear on the toe boxes. The sneakers come with an LOA from Beckett Authentication (AB09086) for the signature and an LOA from Resolution Photomatching (426566), who have conclusively photo matched the left shoe, who "…believe it is likely that both shoes were worn together on that date."
