Enigmatic two-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year Dennis Rodman wore this Los Angeles Lakers home jersey during his lone season with the Lakers in 1998-99. Rodman, a five-time NBA champion, played in 23 games with the Lakers in 1998-99, averaging 2.1 points per game but hauling down rebounds at a rate of 11.2 boards per contest. This season came on the heels of Rodman’s incredible streak of leading the NBA in rebounds per game for seven consecutive seasons, an NBA all-time record. Rodman would go on to play one final season in the NBA, for the Dallas Mavericks, before retiring in 2000. He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2011.

This yellow Lakers home jersey has “LAKERS” and Rodman’s number “73” sewn across the chest in purple and white tackle twill. “RODMAN” and a second “73” are sewn on the back of the jersey in purple and white tackle twill. An NBA logo patch is sewn on the left shoulder of this jersey. NBA Authentics, Nike size “50”, and Los Angeles Lakers tags are sewn on the front left tail of the jersey. A “Length +4” flag is attached to the Nike tag. This jersey comes with a LOA for game use from Bill Bertka, a longtime Lakers assistant coach and interim head coach, as well as a former front office executive for the New Orleans Jazz.
