Hall of Fame power forward Karl Malone wore this Utah Jazz road jersey during the strike-shortened 1998-99 season. During this strike-shortened season, the Jazz compiled a record of 37-13 and a second place finish in the Midwest Division. The Jazz made it all the way to the Western Conference Semi-Finals, where they fell in six games to Isaiah Rider, Arvydas Sabonis, and the Portland Trail Blazers, leaving the tandem of Malone and Stockton still without an NBA championship. Malone was named NBA MVP for the second time at the end of the 1998-99 season after averaging 23.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game.

This purple road jersey features “JAZZ” sewn across the chest in blue, white, and purple tackle twill over a printed mountain design. The Mailman’s number “32” is sewn on the front and back of the jersey in white, brown, and green tackle twill. “MALONE” is sewn across the back shoulders in white tackle twill. A NBA logo patch is sewn on the left chest area of the jersey. A Champion size “52” tag and a NBA 1998-99 tag is sewn on the front left tail of the jersey. A “+4 Length” flag is attached to the Champion tag. This jersey shows light to moderate game use, and comes with a LOA from noted game worn jersey expert Dave Miedema. This also comes with a LOA from Utah Jazz Assistant Trainer & Equipment Manager Terry "T.C." Clark
