One of the most dominant big men of the modern NBA era, Kevin Garnett continues to produce in his 19th year in the league. “The Big Ticket” is a former NBA MVP and league champion who is third among active players in scoring with 25,588 points. This 1998-99 Minnesota Timberwolves game used home uniform comes from a season that saw Garnett average 20.8 points and 10.4 rebounds per game. The white mesh jersey features “TIMBERWOLVES” across the chest and Garnett’s number “21” on both sides in black on silver-and-blue tackle twill. “GARNETT” appears across the back of the jersey in black-on-blue tackle twill, while the collar and arm openings are bordered by the unique evergreen tree pattern. The front and back tails of the jersey feature four Velcro patches that attach to the inside band of the shorts to keep the jersey tucked in. A “Starter” manufacturer’s logo also appears on the front tail of the jersey with affixed tags that read “50” and “4”L.B.,” indicating the jersey’s size and size modifications. A white strip tag below the manufacturer’s tag reads “98 99 SET #2,” for the jersey’s year and edition. The white mesh shorts feature a large, stitched Timberwolves logo on the right leg, with a smaller Timberwolves logo stitched on the left leg. The outer waistband and leg openings are bordered with the evergreen tree design. The inside waist band of the shorts features a “Starter” manufacturer’s tag with Garnett’s number “21” and “SET 2” written in black Sharpie. Three attached white tags read “42,” “1”HR” and “2”LI,” indicating the size of the shorts and modifications to the rise and inseam. Four Velcro patches also appear on the inside of the drawstring waistband to attach to the jersey. The uniform shows evidence of game use and comes with a LOA from Grey Flannel Collectibles.
