Former Major League manager Jim Leyland won 1,769 games in 22 seasons as manager of the Pittsburgh Pirates, Florida Marlins, Colorado Rockies and Detroit Tigers. Leyland spent his first 11 of those seasons in Pittsburgh, where he was Manager of the Year in 1990 and 1992, leading the Pirates to three consecutive National League East titles. Leyland also was Manager of the Year for the Detroit Tigers in 2006.

     Leyland was the manager of the National League for the 1998 All-Star Game in Denver, Colorado and he wore this Russell Athletic Marlins button-down white with teal pinstripes jersey during the All-Star Game. Leyland’s size 44 jersey features “MARLINS” across the chest with a paraph in teal and black tackle twill. Leyland’s number “11” is sewn on the front left chest in black, white and teal tackle twill. The Russell Athletic tag is sewn on the bottom front left tail. The back of the jersey has “LEYLAND” sewn on in black and teal tackle twill on a white nameplate above his number “11”, which is sewn on in black, white and teal tackle twill. Leyland signed his name vertically in silver marker on the left “1” on the back and inscribed “All Star Game 1998 Game Used” on the right “1”. This jersey shows moderate use, which indicates that this jersey was most likely used in the first half of the season.
