Former Major League manager Jim Leyland won 1,769 games in 22 seasons as manager of the Pittsburgh Pirates, Florida Marlins, Colorado Rockies and Detroit Tigers. Leyland spent his first 11 of those seasons in Pittsburgh, where he was Manager of the Year in 1990 and 1992, leading the Pirates to three consecutive National League East titles. Leyland also was Manager of the Year for the Detroit Tigers in 2006.

Leyland was the manager of the National League for the 1998 All-Star Game in Denver, Colorado and he wore this Majestic button-down green National League batting practice jersey during the All-Star Game festivities. Leyland’s size 44 jersey features “NATIONAL” sewn on across the chest in white, purple and silver tackle twill. The Majestic tag is sewn on the bottom front left tail with a size 44 flag. The back of the jersey has “LEYLAND” and his number “11” sewn on in white and purple tackle twill. The Majestic logo is embroidered in white on the right sleeve with the 1998 All-Star Game patch and the left sleeve has the Florida Marlins logo patch sewn on. Purple piping runs along the collar and down both sides of the buttons and an inch of each sleeve end. Leyland signed his name vertically in blue marker on the left “1” on the back and inscribed “2008 All Star Game BP Jersey” on the right “1”. This jersey shows light use and comes with a COA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (B54292) and a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
