Offered is a game used Official National League Leonard S. Coleman baseball signed by the prodigious slugger Mark McGwire. The ball comes with a ticket stub from a 6-3 Cardinals win over the Chicago Cubs on September 8th, 1998 when McGwire hit his historic 62nd homer of the season in this game passing Roger Maris. After breaking Maris’ 37-year record, McGwire finished the season with a then-record 70 dingers. “Big Mac” has signed the ball’s sweet spot in black pen. The former Oakland A’s first baseman added an inscription of “D.J. HR Record #62 9-8-98” on the panel north of the sweet spot and “STL 25” next to his signature. The signature on the ball comes with a STICKER ONLY from PSA/DNA (AD65932).
