Encapsulated and graded 9.4 with a “First-Party V-Seam” seal rating of A++ by WATA Games. The legend of Kobe Bryant was just being written when this 1998 Nintendo 64 basketball game was released. But the fact that a 19-year-old Bryant was on the cover of an NBA video game should tell you plenty. Bryant was just in his second season for the Los Angeles Lakers when courtside came out, becoming the youngest player to have an NBA video game named after him. Eighteen years later, Bryant would retire a five-time NBA champion and become one of the NBA’s most popular players and a cultural icon.
The game was developed by Left Field productions and used the NBA rosters from the 1997-98 season. Fun fact about the game: Michael Jordan (licensing) and Latrell Sprewell (suspension) are the only two NBA players not included in the game. This presented copy features a “Made in Japan” label, a pixelated “E” rating label from the ESRB, an “NBA Hologram sticker,” and a “USA Code” on this “78% Fiber” box. A sealed specimen featuring Hall of Famer Kobe Bryant with an exceptional grade and seal rating.
