The Hall of Fame guard Kobe Bryant wore these yellow Nike Lakers’ game shorts during the 1999-2000 NBA season. Bryant, a first-round pick in 1996 out of Philadelphia area’s Lower Merion High School, made his second NBA All-Star team in 1999-2000 while setting career-highs in points per game (22.5), assists (4.9), and rebounds (6.3). Bryant’s Lakers won their first NBA title of the Bryant-O’Neal era in 2000, defeating the Indiana Pacers in a six-game series for Bryant’s first of five NBA rings. Bryant would go on to average 25.0 points per game in his legendary 20-season career, claiming the 2007-08 NBA MVP trophy and earning his posthumous induction to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility in 2020.

These size 38 yellow shorts have thick purple stripes on each side and are bordered with white and purple borders. The NBA logo is embroidered on the upper left leg and the inside waist has the Nike tag with the Lakers logo and NBA AUTHENTICS logo tags. Kobe’s number “8” is handwritten on the “NAME” portion of the Nike tag and there are “INSEAM +2”, wash tag and Nike swoosh “1999-00” flags attached. Kobe has signed these shorts in black marker below the NBA logo on the front. These shorts come with a LOA from MEARS (315598) for the game use and a LOA from JSA for Bryant’s signature.
