Offered is a Cal Ripken Jr. team-issued gray Baltimore Orioles road jersey from the 1999 MLB campaign. An All-Star in 1999, Ripken hit .340 with 18 homers and 57 RBI in only 86 games. Remarkably, Ripken notched the same number of doubles, with 27, in 1999 as he did in 1998, when he played in 161 games. The 19-time All-Star posted an OPS+ of 144 in 1999, his highest mark since his MVP-winning, age-30 campaign of 1991. Ripken was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007.

This gray, button-down jersey features “Orioles” sewn across the chest in orange, black, and white tackle twill. Ripken’s number “8” is sewn on the chest and back in orange and black tackle twill. “RIPKEN” is sewn across the back shoulders in orange and black tackle twill. An Orioles bird logo is sewn on the left sleeve, while a Russell logo and black number “7” memorial for Cal Ripken Sr. are sewn on the right sleeve. A Russell Athletic size “48” tag and a “1999” tag are sewn on the front left tail. “100% Polyester” and “2[inch] Extra Length” flags are attached to the Russell tag. Ripken has signed the jersey’s chest in black marker. This jersey comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert William Henderson and PSA/DNA authentication for Ripken’s signature.
