It was the year of Joe DiMaggio's death and David Cone's Perfect Game. It was the Yankees' second straight World Series sweep—a franchise feat previously accomplished only by the Ruth-led and DiMaggio-led clubs of the late 1920s and late 1930s. It was a Fall Classic highlighted by Chad Curtis' Game 3 walk-off homer. For these and other reasons, the last Bronx Bomber season of the millennium was one for the ages. This bat has been signed in blue marker by 16 members of that historic team and includes Hall of Famers Mariano Rivera, Derek Jeter and Joe Torre.
