Used in the season following the greatest home run chase in baseball history, Sammy Sosa’s 1999 Rawlings 170B model bat shows outstanding use with a handle crack. Many ball marks with stitch impressions are on the barrel along with cleat imprints. The lower handle and knob have been taped and padded to enhance the grip. A moderate coat of pine tar is on the handle and the model “170B”, order number “926” and year “99” are stamped into the knob. Sosa’s number “21” is hand-written on both ends in silver marker and the Cubs slugger has signed the barrel in contrasting silver marker. This bat comes with an LOA from PSA/DNA (1B12922) for the game use and a COA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication for the signature.
