In only his third season in the NBA, Paul Pierce began to establish himself as one of the premier players in the league. Pierce averaged 25.3 points per game in the 2000-01 season as the Celtics began their climb back to relevancy after years of poor play. Pierce was the catalyst for the Celtics in their resurgence and he wore this home Celtics jersey during the 2000-01 season. This white Nike jersey features “CELTICS” and Pierce’s number “34” sewn on the front in green tackle twill and the NBA logo embroidered on the upper left chest. A black band is sewn on the left shoulder strap with “DLA” in memory of Dorothy Auerbach, the wife of Red Auerbach, who passed away in October of 2000. The Nike size 50 tag is sewn on the bottom front left tail and has adjacent tags of the Celtics logo and “NBA AUTHENTICS”, along with an attached “LENGTH +4” flag. The back has “PIERCE” and “34” sewn on in green tackle twill and the rounded collar and sleeve openings have green/white/green borders. Pierce has signed his name diagonally on the front “4” and inscribed “34” and “”THE TRUTH””. This jersey comes with a LOA from 100% Authentic for the game use and a STICKER ONLY from Tristar (8232491) for Pierce’s signature.
