For the 18th time in his storied career, Hall of Famer and baseball’s Iron Man Cal Ripken, Jr. represented the Baltimore Orioles at the All-Star Game in Atlanta during the 2000 Mid-Summer Classic. Ripken was once again voted to be a starter for the AL squad, the 16th time of his 17 career All-Star Game starts. Coming directly from the personal collection of Cal Ripken, Jr., this offered American League warm-up jersey was worn by Ripken prior the All-Star Game in 2000 at Atlanta’s Turner Field. This button-down red knit-mesh jersey has shortened sleeves and features “AMERICAN” sewn on across the chest in navy and white tackle twill. “2000” is embroidered in gold on a navy and white tackle twill backing below the “CAN”. The front left tail has the Majestic tag and a “50” size flag. The back has “RIPKEN” and “8” sewn on in white tackle twill with an MLB log patch on the upper back neck. Ripken has signed this jersey in black marker on the upper right chest below the “AME”. This jersey displays moderate use and comes with a signed LOA from Cal Ripken, Jr.
