It’s a good thing Tom Glavine could pitch because he wasn’t much of a hitter compiling a .186 batting average in his 22-year career. He must have swung this Hoosier HB8 model during batting practice during the 2000 season as well as in games because it has more ball marks than the 10 hits he racked up during the season would indicate. There are plenty of white leather scuffs and blue ink transfers all over the barrel and sticky smudges of pine tar on which some white fabric has adhered. The handle is wrapped in adhesive tape in a swirling spiral fashion and the knob is stamped with the bat’s length and also contains Glavine’s number 47 in silver marker which is also written on the top of the barrel where PSA/DNA sticker (#1B05745) is affixed; comes with full PSA/DNA letter of authenticity GU grading 9.5.
