Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant wore this yellow Lakers home jersey during the 2002 NBA Finals. The Lakers, who came into the 2002 Finals as the two-time defending champs, dominated the New Jersey Nets in their Finals meeting. The Lakers swept the Nets in a brief four game series, with the inside-outside combination of Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal proving too much for New Jersey. Bryant averaged 26.8 points per game for the Finals, adding 5.8 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game as he excelled in every aspect for the victorious Lakers. Bryant, the 13th overall pick in the 1996 NBA Draft out of Lower Merion High School, won five NBA titles during his 20-season career, and is a sure-fire lock for Hall of Fame induction in his first year of eligibility.

This pullover jersey is yellow, with “LAKERS” sewn across the chest in purple and white tackle twill. Bryant’s number “8”, which, along with his second number of “24”, has been retired by the Lakers, is sewn on the chest and back of this jersey in white and purple tackle twill. “BRYANT” is sewn across the back shoulders in purple and white tackle twill. A 9/11 memorial patch and a NBA Finals logo patch are sewn on the chest of this jersey. The sides of the jersey feature a white and purple stripe while the collar is accented with purple. A Nike size “52” tag with an attached “Length +4” flag is sewn on the front left tail of this jersey. Bryant has signed the “8” on the back of the jersey in black marker. This jersey comes with a LOA from D.C. Sports for game use and a LOA from JSA (Y87440) for the signature.
