The legendary Michael Jordan wore this pair of Air Jordan XVII Low sneakers during the 2001-02 NBA season. Jordan, in his first of two seasons with the Washington Wizards, led the team in scoring at a 22.9 points per game clip. The Greatest of All-Time added 5.7 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game in his first season back from a three-year retirement. Jordan played one final season with the Wizards before retiring. In 2009, MJ was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. These offered Air Jordan sneakers are white, with blue accents and a blue insert in the shoes. The Air Jordan “Jumpman” logos are etched on the heel of both shoes on the blue backdrop logo. Jordan has signed both of these size 13 ½ shoes in black markers on the outside lower ankle areas on the white and inscribed both “Best Wishes”. These sneakers display moderate game use and come with a letter of provenance from the late referee Hue Hollins, who states that these sneakers were given to him by Jordan for a charity fundraiser. Additionally, there are individual LOAs from PSA/DNA (U14806 & U14807) for Jordan’s signatures.
