During Hall of Famer Rickey Henderson’s 25-year career, the all-time leading base stealer spent his 2001 season with the San Diego Padres, one of the nine franchises he suited up for. Henderson reached the 3,000-hit mark during his San Diego stint, and this is one of the bats he used to get him there – more specifically career hit number 2,981. The Rawlings 513B model bat shows outstanding use with a handle crack. Many ball marks including blue ink transfers are seen on the barrel along with cleat imprints. A heavy coat of Mota Stick is found on the handle and the model number “513B”, year “01” and order number “(823) are stamped into the knob. The weight “31” and Rickey’s number “24” are hand written on the knob in black marker. Henderson has signed the barrel in black marker and added “2981 Hits”. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B05831) for the game use and has been graded a solid GU 8.5, along with a LOA from JSA (Z76362) for the signature.
