Presented by Rawlings to Roberto Alomar for his defensive excellence during the 2001 season. A gold colored Rawlings fielder's glove sits upon a high wooden base. Gold colored Rawlings baseballs flank each side of the glove. A metal plaque in the center features an engraved illustration of Alomar and the plaque below that reads "2001 Rawlings Gold Glove Award Presented to Roberto Alomar Honoring His Selection As "The Finest in the Field!". This 2001 Gold Glove Award is identical in every regard to the one presented to Alomar, acquired by a source close to the Rawlings Sporting Goods company that issues the award annually. This is no replica, but an alternate, presumably created should some damage happen to the other in shipping, or if the team or agent requests one. The trophy measures approximately 17.5" long x 6.5" wide x 16" tall. Shows no wear, beautiful condition.
