This Atlanta Braves road jersey was game used by Gary Sheffield during the 2002 Major League Baseball season. Sheff put up some nice numbers in ’02, his first of 2 seasons with the Braves, batting .307 with 25 home runs and 84 RBI in just 135 games played. The grey, button-down jersey features Atlanta scripted across the chest in red with navy blue trim above the Braves tomahawk in matching style. The back sports #11, also red with blue trim, beneath a nameplate reading “SHEFFIELD” in navy blue on grey. Red with navy blue trimmed piping runs around the collar and down the center, on either side of the buttons, as well as around each of the sleeves. The MLB logo is stitched just below the collar on the back. A Russell Athletic Authentic Collection manufacturer’s tag adorns the front left tail, adjacent to a smaller white tag reading “2-02”, along with tailoring tags reading “’1” Sleeve Length”, “-1” Body Length” and size “52 100% Polyester”. Jersey shows moderate game use, and has been evaluated and authenticated by MEARS with a Final Grade with Respect to Characteristics and Game Use of A10.
