In 2002 Maddux won his astonishing 13th consecutive Gold Glove Award. He missed out on the award in 2003, but went on to win 5 more for a staggering 18 total , still (and likely forever will be) the record for most Gold Gloves won in a career. Maddux was the greatest pitcher of our generation, winning 355 career games and 4 consecutive Cy Young awards. Maddux had a typical Greg Maddux season in 2002, with a record of 16-6 and a 2.62 ERA. Maddux will be eligible for the Hall of Fame in 2014, where he is sure to be a first ballot hall of famer. Presented by Rawlings to Greg Maddux for his defensive excellence during the 2002 season. A gold colored Rawlings fielder's glove sits upon a high wooden base. Gold colored Rawlings baseballs flank each side of the glove. A metal plaque in the center features an engraved illustration of Maddux and the plaque below that reads "2002 Rawlings Gold Glove Award Presented to Greg Maddux Honoring His Selection As 'The Finest in the Field!'". The trophy measures approximately 17.5" long x 6.5" wide x 16" tall. Award was acquired from a marketing representative. Shows light wear with a tiny nick at the base, and the slightest flaking on glove. Beautiful condition. Get it before he is officially a Hall of Famer.
