Led by one of the most prolific duos in NBA history in Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant, the 2002 Los Angeles Lakers swept the New Jersey Nets in the NBA Finals to win their third straight NBA championship. O’Neal posted season averages of 27.2 points and 10.7 rebounds per game, while Bryant scored 25.2 points per game, while adding 5.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists. Rick Fox finished fourth on the team in scoring (7.9 per game), starting in all 82 games.

Presented here is a 14K gold 2002 Los Angeles Lakers NBA Championship ring presented to Rick Fox. The ring face features a wonderfully creative design – a light purple (Lakers team color) amethyst stone in the shape of a triangle, symbolizing head coach Phil Jackson’s famed “Triangle” offense. The word “BACK” appears on each of the three angles, celebrating the back-to-back-to-back team titles of 2000-2002. Three triangular-cut diamonds are also present (representing the three consecutive championships), all set among a bed of smaller diamonds. “LAKERS WORLD CHAMPIONS” reads around the outside in relief work, along with 14 additional diamonds (for the 14 titles in team history at that time). One shank of the ring is centered by the NBA league logo, and also features “FOX” and number “17”, and the Lakers regular season (58-24) and playoffs (15-4) records.

The opposite shank shows the team logo and year 2002, along with an image of a microphone with the name “CHICK” – in honor of long-time Lakers announcer Chick Hearn, who passed away in 2002. The words “SLAM DUNK” (a famous Hearn phrase) is also displayed. The inside of this approximate size 12 ring is stamped 14K. The weight of this ring is approximately 64.7 grams and comes with the original hinged wooden presentation box that features an engraved plate reading “2002 WORLD CHAMPIONS LOS ANGELES LAKERS Rick Fox” along with the team logo. This ring comes with a LOA from Rick Fox.
