Hall of Famer Rickey Henderson joined the Boston Red Sox as a free agent in 2002. Although he was 43 years-old, Henderson was still fleet-footed enough to play center field, setting an MLB record for the oldest player to appear at that position. Rickey used this stick during his last full season in the Majors. Henderson used this Tom Cat 30 model bat during the 2002 season. This bat displays outstanding game use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks, blue ink transfers, white leather scuffs and cleat imprints present on the barrel. The handle has been scored and taped to enhance the grip and a light coating of pine tar is also on the handle. Henderson’s number “35” is handwritten in silver marker on the knob and inside the cupped barrel end. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B25573) for the game use and has been given the highest possible grade of GU 10.
