One of the most feared sluggers in the game today and adored by Red Sox fans everywhere, David Ortiz is largely responsible for leading Boston to three World Series titles in 2004, 2007 and 2013, when he was named MVP of the team’s 4-2 series win over the St. Louis Cardinals. These signed Nike cleats come from a 2003 season that saw “Big Papi” crack 31 homers while driving in 101 runs for the BoSox. Ortiz’s signature appears in bold, silver Sharpie on the outside heels of both size 12 cleats. The back of cleat features the trademark Nike swoosh logo along with “AIR” and Ortiz’s number “34” written in black Sharpie. Ortiz’s number “34” also is written in black Sharpie on the bottom of the six metal-studded cleats, which still have traces of dirt evident. The cleats show moderate signs of game use and come with an LOA from Mears Memorabilia Evaluation and Research Services. The signatures are verified with PSA/DNA certification numbers “G22028” and “G22029.”
