Hall of Fame pitcher Greg Maddux spent his last season with the Atlanta Braves in 2003. The veteran righty posted a 16-11 record with a 3.96 ERA and led the National League in starts with 36. The four-time Cy Young Award winner wore this home Atlanta Braves jersey during the 2003 season. This size 46 Russell Athletic button-down jersey features “Braves” and a tomahawk paraph sewn on the front in red and navy tackle twill with gold stitching accents on the tomahawk. Navy/red/navy piping runs around the collar and down both sides of the buttons and on the ends of the sleeves. The Russell Athletic tag and team tag “2-2003”, along with “46 100% POLYESTERS” and “+2” EXTRA LENGTH” flags are sewn on the bottom front left tail. The back of this jersey has “MADDUX” sewn on in navy tackle twill and his number “31” sewn on in red and navy tackle twill. The MLB logo patch in Braves’ colors is sewn on the upper back neck above the piping. Maddux signed his name in black marker on the top of the “3” on the back. This jersey displays moderate game use with a large stain on the end of the left sleeve and comes with a LOA from Bob Case, who was the manager of late Casey Stengel and acquired this jersey during his time in baseball. Additionally, there is a LOA from Beckett Authentication (AA06994) for the signature.
