Presented is a limited-edition 2003 LeBron James signed “NBA Draft Day” color photograph in a framed display. The image in the photo, of James in a white suit with red Cleveland Cavaliers jersey held by him in front, was used on his 2003 Topps NBA Rookie card. James signed his name in blue marker in the upper left on the gray neutral background of the 16 x 20-inch color photo poster. The inscription “1/50” is in blue marker in the lower right corner of the photo. The James-signed photo is mounted in a black matte with white accent and displayed in a 21½ x 25½-inch black plastic with clear plastic frame. James, who entered the 2003 NBA Draft at the conclusion of his senior year at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron, Ohio, was selected by his hometown team, the Cavaliers, as the first overall pick. In his first regular season game, he scored 25 points against the Sacramento Kings, setting an NBA record for most points scored by a prep-to-pro player in his debut performance. At the conclusion of the season, he became the first Cavalier to receive the NBA Rookie of the Year Award, and with final averages of 20.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game, he also became just the third player in league history to average at least 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists per game as a rookie. Cleveland ultimately finished the season 35–47, failing to make the playoffs despite an 18-game improvement over the previous year. This item comes with a PenCam DVD disc in paper packaging and a COA from Upper Deck Authenticated (BAJ14741).
