In 2004, the best of the Major League and the best of the Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) played an eight-game series in Japan, with the Major League All-Stars winning five games to three. Among the Major League All-Stars were Miguel Cabrera, Manny Ramirez, Carl Crawford, Moises Alou, Victor Martinez, Vernon Wells, Roger Clemens and David Ortiz. Offered here are a collection of baseball caps given to David Ortiz by his MLB teammates from the Japan trip. The first hat is a Texas Rangers cap signed by Miguel Young. The second cap is a San Diego cap signed by an unidentified player. The third hat is Boston Red Sox cap signed by Roger Clemens, who inscribed “Big Papi-I Remember These Days!” and “Rocket”. The fourth hat is a Florida Marlins cap signed by Dontrelle Willis. The fifth hat is a Chicago Cubs cap signed by Moises Alou. The sixth hat is an Atlanta Braves cap signed by Johnny Estrada. All of the caps have the “MLB Japan All-Star Series” logo patch sewn on the left side and come in a custom display. This comes with a Sticker from the Estate sale of David Ortiz.
