2004 was Sammy Sosa’s last summer in Wrigley and wearing this alternate home Cubs blue button-down jersey, Sosa connected for his 574th career home run during the October 2, 2004 game at Wrigley Field against the Atlanta Braves. Sosa’s 35th home run of the season came off Braves’ pitcher Juan Cruz and was Sosa’s last home run as a member of the Cubs, where he 545 of his 609 career home runs, a record that still stands.

This button-down knit style jersey has “SOSA” and number “21” on the back in red with white tackle twill. The left front chest of the jersey sports the Cubs walking bear crest logo while the left front tail displays the Majestic manufacturer tag with size 48 flag tag. The right sleeve displays the National League patch while the left sleeve has a “C” sewn on in red and white tackle twill. The collar has a sewn in tag with chain stitching indicating the number (21), size (48) and year (04). The sleeve ends have an elastic expandable cap. This jersey has been photo matched by Sports Investors Authentication to the October 2, 2004 game, Sosa’s last with the Cubs and have provided a LOA (190922A1).
