2004 was a magical season for the Boston Red Sox, as their misfit team of self-named “Idiots” overcame a 3-0 deficit in the American League Championship Series to defeat their hated rivals, the New York Yankees. The Red Sox advanced to the World Series where they swept the St. Louis Cardinals in four games. This handed the Red Sox their first championship in 86 seasons, ending one of baseball’s longest ever title droughts.
This Allan H. Selig 2004 Official World Series baseball has been signed by 23 members of the 2004 Red Sox. Curt Schilling signed his name on the sweet spot.
