Former shortstop Omar Vizquel spent four seasons with the San Francisco Giants and wore the road gray Giants’ jersey during the 2005 or 2006 seasons – his first two with the club. During those two seasons, Vizquel combined for a solid .283 average, and averaged 77 runs scored and 162 hits in each of those two seasons. This jersey features “SAN FRANCISCO” arched across the front in layered black tackle twill with orange outline and gold drop-shadow. The back of the jersey has “VIZQUEL” sewn on in black tackle twill with the orange outline and gold drop-shadow on a matching gray nameplate with the number “13” sewn on below in the same tackle twill pattern. The Majestic tag with “42” and white (now faded ID) flags attached. The left sleeve has the Giants logo patch and an embroidered Majestic logo in black. The jersey has been narrowed to the 2005 and 2006 seasons based on the lack of a commemorative patch not seen on the right sleeve that the Giants had in 2007 and 2008, the other two seasons Vizquel was with the club. Vizquel has signed his name vertically in silver marker on the “1” on the back and this jersey displays signs of wear consistent with a full season’s use. This jersey comes with a LOA from noted game used baseball jersey expert William Henderson for the game use, plus a LOA from Beckett Authentication for the signature.
