Presented here is a baseball signed by over 25 members of the 2006 American League champion Detroit Tigers baseball team. The Tigers won the American League Wild Card in 2006, finishing the regular season with 95 victories. In the playoffs, they upset the Oakland Athletics and New York Yankees to reach the Fall Classic. There they fell to the high-powered St. Louis Cardinals in a five-game series. Although the outcome was not perfect, this playoff was the introduction for a new generation of Tigers stars.

     This baseball is an Allan H. Selig 2006 World Series Official Ball. Manager Jim Leyland signed the sweet spot of this ball.
