Behind superstars Dwyane Wade and Shaquille O’Neal, the Miami Heat won 52 games during the 2005-2006 regular season, finishing first in the Southeast Division. Wade averaged 27.2 points per game, while Shaq recorded 20.0 points and 9.2 rebounds per contest; Jason Williams added 12.3 PPG. After postseason series victories over the Chicago Bulls, New Jersey Nets and Detroit Pistons, the Heat defeated the Dallas Mavericks, four games to two, in the NBA Finals. This was the first NBA title in franchise history and to commemorate the occasion, the Miami Heat went to great lengths to reward their players and staff for the historic season.

Presented here is an incredibly rare collectible – one of the very Miami Heat 2006 NBA Championship ring presentation displays that were the ones given out to the players. This exquisite piece was procured directly from Jostens with only a limited amount made. This silver circular two-piece display is 6-inches in diameter and 4-inches tall. On the outside base are raised images of the Miami Heat logo, colored in red, white and gold and the Larry O’Brien trophy, which is colored in gold. The respective logos are on opposite sides of each other. Across the lid is engraved in black “15 6-20-2006 15” and “IT WAS OUR TIME”, the team moniker. The lid has a clear opening with an image of a basketball etched in gray, while mounted at the base of the inside is a ring holder that is centered. Below the ring holder are red, yellow and purple confetti squares – the same ones used in the celebration after the Heat clinched the NBA title with their Game 6 victory in Dallas. The confetti is encased in a clear glass to add to the visual display. A truly rare collectible, honoring the first ever title in Miami Heat history and this presentation display is in good condition with some blemishes on the outer shell between one of the Heat logos and Larry O’Brien trophy images.
