Gary Sheffield used this bat to launch a homer in the bottom of the 3rd inning of the May 24, 2007 game at Tigers Stadium. The solo blast of Angels' pitcher Ervin Santana was the 464th of Sheff's career. The Rawlings Big Stick Pro bat shows nice game use with a few large white leather ball scuff, one of which was homer number 464. The handle of the bat has been taped up like Sheff preferred it, making a bulbous ball on the knob end. His number worn with Detroit - "3" is handwritten in silver ink on the barrel end. The slugger has signed the barrel in silver ink and thoroughly documented the significance of this bat by writing "Career Home Run #464 vs. L.A. Angels 5/24/07 Pitcher Ervin Santana". MLB hologram number BB 475112 is affixed to the barrel along with a Sheff Authenticated hologram.
