Former Boston Red Sox catcher and captain Jason Varitek used this Rawlings 456A model bat during the 2007. Varitek had a solid 2007 campaign as the switch-hitting catcher batted .255 with 17 home runs and 68 RBI as he helped lead the Red Sox to their second World Series title in four seasons. This bat displays outstanding game use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks, blue ink transfers and white leather scuffs present on the barrel. The lower handle is taped in spiral pattern and there is a coating of pine tar to enhance the grip. Varitek’s number “33” is handwritten in black marker on the barrel. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B17186) for the game use and has been graded a perfect GU 10.
