Although he famously failed to know who Jimmie Foxx was, A-Rod managed to tie the Hall of Fame slugger on the all-time career home run list with this bat. The Louisville Slugger C271L model bat shows heavy use and is un-cracked. There is slight checking from repeated ball contact o the back barrel and mall marks with stitch impressions and blue ink transfers that cover the barrel. The front barrel shows cleat imprints and a light coat of Mota Stick is on the handle. The bat’s weight “32.0” is written in white on the knob and A-Rod has signed and inscribed “Game Used 2008”, “Career HR #534 Vs. Texas 6/30/08” and “Tying Jimmy Foxx” on the barrel in silver pen. This bat comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (1B01221) for the game and has been graded a GU 9.5 and a STICKER ONLY from JSA (B85109) for the signature and inscriptions.
