In 2008 Alex Rodriguez made the 12th of his 14 career All-Star appearances. The Yankees third baseman hit .302 in 2008, finishing with 35 home runs, 103 RBI, and 19 stolen bases in his age 32 season. Rodriguez started in the 2008 All-Star Game, which was the final Mid-Summers Classic held at the old Yankee Stadium. Although he finished 0-2, his presence thrilled the Yankee faithful who had turned out to see Rodriguez and Derek Jeter play.
Rodriguez signed the chest of this gray short-sleeved shirt in blue marker, inscribing “2008 All Star Game Used / Final Season Yankee Stadium”. This shirt features “Major League Baseball All Star Game N.Y.C. 2008” across the front in blue and red text. A Majestic Authentic tag is present on the bottom left area of the jersey, with “13 Arod” written in blue marker on the tag. Rodriguez’s inscription attributes this undershirt to game use during the 2008 All-Star Game, while Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication has provided a COA (B54321) to authenticate the signature.
