The 2008 American League Rookie of the Year, Evan Longoria’s first Major League hit came in his first Major League game, April 12, 2008 at Tropicana Field in Tampa, FL. The RBI single in the bottom of the sixth inning plated the Rays first run of the day, and when the dust had settled Longoria stood on this very bag. This Schutt Original Hollywood Bases Jack Corbett base shows heavy game use, and features alternating “Rays” and “MLB I Live For This” inlaid plastic logos on each of the four sides. Longoria has signed the dirt-covered top of the bag in blue Sharpie, along with the inscription “1st Career Base Hit”. The base has been tagged with MLB Authentication Hologram #BB920539, and is also accompanied by a PSA COA (AB98565).
